　　Filming has begun on the fourth series of popular Bath-based detective drama McDonald & Dodds, starring Tala Gouveia and BAFTA award-winner Jason Watkins.
　　
　　Comprising three feature length films (3 x120), the guest cast for the first story includes Toby Stephens (Lost In Space), singer/songwriter Pixie Lott (The Voice Kids), Lydia Leonard (Gentleman Jack), Daniel Lapaine (Catastrophe), Dipo Ola (Landscapers), John Gordon Sinclair (Gregory’s Girl) and Ace Bhatti (Line of Duty).
　　
　　In this first film, McDonald and Dodds begin to investigate when a middle-aged woman is found shot dead in a rented flat. The killer has removed all clues to her identity, but DNA reveals she went missing over 35 years ago. Where has she been all those years? And who with?
　　
　　Returning to the cast this series are Claire Skinner (Outnumbered) who plays Chief Superintendent Ormond and Charlie Chambers (EastEnders) who plays DC Goldie. Bhavik C. Pankhania (World On Fire) joins the line up as DC Lee.
　　
　　The series has been commissioned for ITV by Polly Hill and Huw Kennair Jones and will be produced by Joe Shrubb. Executive producers are Robert Murphy, Damien Timmer and Charlotte Webber. The first film is written by Robert Murphy and directed by Khurrum M. Sultan.

　　The previous three series are available to view via streaming platforms ITVX in the UK and Britbox in North America and Australia. ITV Studios will distribute the drama internationally.

　　本片融警匪与法庭于一体的电视剧，片中讲述的犯罪基本原于真实生活，往往是近期报纸上的头条新闻。节目分为两部分，上半部分介绍警察研究现场，征询证人，提审嫌疑犯等一系列的侦破活动，后半部分详尽记录了案件侦破的后期工作，案件转交到检查官手里，检查官衡量案情，起诉，直到庭审，节奏紧凑，扣人心弦。由于最终坏人不一定被绳之于法，所以观众看的时候往往暗自捏一把汗。
　　这个剧集除了已经播出的15季之外，还包括3个特别的系列，一个是
　　Special Victims Unit 系列（6季），一个是Criminal Intent 系列（4季），和Trial By Jury

　　这是Law & Order十四年如一日，也是我百听不厌的开场白，是以Law & Order franchise(包括spin-off的SVU)都兼有探员的办案过程跟检察官在法庭上的滔滔雄辩，这二者相互分庭抗礼成为Law & Order奠定其cop drama之教父地位的独特魅力，但是近来每回看Law & Order，都彷彿只是在等待后半小时的法庭戏上，也不是说前面的办案就不精采，但是总要在进入起诉过程中才显出本剧的成熟、世故，细腻精妙处的炉火纯青；一男一女老少两位检察官的不同考量而激盪出的互动、辩证，起诉的战略方针往往不只是黑白分明的司法正义考量，而牵扯到背后司法制度及其偏狭漏洞、细微的政治空气，Law & Order更不只是关在摄影棚里编造天马行空的离奇案件，它每回总是不犹疑地定睛盯上社会中的敏感命题。

　　将于7月播出的《密情》（Covert Affairs）将是USA电视网继《Burn Notice》之后又一部间谍题材的作品，第一季12集，包括一个90分钟的首集。该剧由Piper Perabo（《比佛利拜金狗》）、Christopher Gorham（《丑女贝蒂》、《夺命岛》）、Sendhil Ramamurthy（《超能英雄》）、Kari Matchett（《入侵》）和Anne Dudek（《豪斯医生》、《广告狂人》）主演，Peter Gallagher（《橘子镇男孩》）参与演出。Annie Walker（Piper Perabo）是一名尚在训练中的初级间谍，最近突然被中央情报局「提拔」为外勤特工。她出众的语言才能或许是上司看重的一个原因，但那不是最主要的－－她的上司似乎对她曾经遇到过的某个人（前男友）更感兴趣。Christopher Gorham扮演一个为中央情报局效命军事情报特工，在一次任务中失去了双眼。他是Annie的导师兼行动负责人。Anne Dudek扮演Annie的姐姐，一位有两个孩子的母亲。Kari Matchett扮演中情局特设特务机构「国内保安局」（Domestic Protection Division）的负责人。Peter Gallagher扮演她的丈夫Arthur，中情局另一个特设特务机构「特勤局」的负责人。
