　　影片根据张康明作家所著的同名小说改编，讲述20代后半的主人公桂娜（高我星 饰）抛下工作、家人、男朋友，为了寻找自己的幸福前往新西兰的故事。
　　桂娜觉得“讨厌韩国”，“无法在这里生活下去了”，因此决心移民。载仁（朱综赫 饰）为了获得永久居住权而来到新西兰留学，之后和桂娜一起在澳大利亚相互依靠着生活，最终发展为恋人。

 流浪汉抹桌儿（李保田饰）在饭馆跑堂，一天，偶遇同村的春柳（梁庆刚饰）。春柳这几年可不简单，成了有名的养鱼专业户，夫妻俩与妹妹杏花（吴丹饰）经几年努力，已成为远近闻名的“冒尖户”。他见抹桌儿如此落魄，劝其回乡发展，干他的养鱼、养鸬鹚的老本行。流浪多年的抹桌儿思乡心切，本着听人劝、吃饱饭的心态回到家乡天鹅湖。由于房无一间，地无一垅，回乡的抹桌儿只好暂住在杏花的小船上。鉴于抹桌儿曾救过杏花的命，春柳一家对他照顾有加。负心汉丁兆华（钱占刚饰）找杏花重修旧好，伤透心的杏花毅然回绝了他，哥哥也暗暗为妹妹物色对象，令大家没想到的是，杏花相中了人人不看好的抹桌儿......
